About Us

African Carnival is under the Umbrella of a non-profit organization Hope of Africa Corporation, whose focus and mission are to improve our community through education empowerment and cultural progression. African Carnival is a celebration of Africa through cultural parades and dance with the rhythm of African drums. The purpose of African Carnival is to express individual freedoms as well as reconnecting and preserving our rich cultural heritage by uniting people of African descent.
With the African Carnival, we hope to celebrate ethnic diversity and bridge the gap between different races in our communities. This event will showcase cultural dances with vibrant colors of masquerade costumes from different parts of Africa. There will be lots of entertainment featuring African artisans, exotics African cuisines, stage performances, fashion shows from re-known African designers and fun game activities for children

On May 11th 2024, the African Carnival Organization will celebrate its 4th Annual African Carnival. It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us in contributing as a vendor and be a part of history in what we anticipate will be a welcomed addition to Atlanta’s great line up of festivals. Our theme is Celebrating Cultural, Fashion & Music.

 

The day’s events will start with the colorful Parade of Bands in the main street of Atlanta Student Movement Blvd through the campus of Morris Brown College. The festivities will commence outside the Morris Brown College in Atlanta Georgia, with the highlight of our festival culminating with a variety of events featuring music.

Countries Registration

On behalf of African Carnival USA, we would like to invite you to participate to the African Carnival 2024. This is a celebration of our cultural and ethnic heritage. We ask that each group come ready to showcase your countries heritage, dances, clothing, and music as the children of African descent march in the Parade of Bands.

To participate we ask that each group representing their country contributes $400. For $400 African carnival will provide you with Complimentary 30 wrist bands for participants in the parade of bands competition. Additional wristbands can be purchase for $10 each.
